WHO CAN BUSK?
Anyone can join the festival by registering right here on our website! To be eligible for competition prizes, all performers must follow Toowoomba’s busking regulations and listen to directions from event staff on the day. Whether you’re a solo artist, a duo, or a small group ready to share your music without amplification, the streets of Toowoomba are waiting for you!

Keep at least 1.8m of walkway clear for pedestrians
Perform in a way that stays in harmony with the area

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Buskers will be scheduled for 2–4 performance slots at designated locations throughout Toowoomba’s CBD. Each set runs for 25 minutes, with a short window for setup and pack down. Think of it as classic, old-school busking—just you, your music, and the city streets.
Throughout the day, secret judges will be watching and selecting the top performers to advance to the Finals on the Main Stage at Grand Central Square. There, finalists will have the chance to impress the judges one last time and compete for the Grand Prize.
But it’s not just about the finals—this festival is about celebrating all buskers! With the People’s Choice Award, the crowd gets to decide who they loved most. Even if you don’t make the finals, you still have the chance to walk away with fantastic prizes.
